I have met people from as far away as California here . I did see a NY plate . But mostly they are here from Montana , Colorada and of course North Dakota . The TR exhibit in the visitor center is so cool ! Did you know he was shot while campaigning … in the chest … and insisted on finishing his speech before being taken to the hospital !
The trails here are great for my style of running . They are not extremely technical and there are many miles of fairly flat prairie where you can open it up a little ( before diving down some mud filled creek where bison and dude ranch cowboys cross ! ) . The ups are just soft enough that you can handle them , and the downs are short enough that you don't blow the quads . . . AND … the elevation isn't crippling !
