as George from Delaware would say !
Capitol Reef and Escalante were both 5500 - 7500 feet. And you hiked up . Bryce was 7000 - 8000 …. but you hiked down . But for some reason it seamed higher . It was definitely cooler . And it was most definitely crowded . Buses and cars everywhere . ( Most people doing drive-byes because all you had to do was look over the edge , Grand Canyon like ….. do the Chevy Chase thing and drive on .) The hike down Bryce point was so cool …. you teach this spot where you come in to one of the many vistas, maybe half way down , and all the white Navajo sandstone is at eye level as you look across the canyon . I don't know …. it floored me .

I only spent one night because after 2 months of having little in the way of crowds I was overwhelmed . On to ZION, which I KNOW is going to be a mob scene .
