Badland Friday
Badlands NP pops up out of nowhere… just south of Wall and surrounded by the Buffalo Gap Grasslands . My long departed friend John , who I still miss after so many years, made it a life goal to visit here in his far too brief life. And for a long time it has filled me with a sense of fascination … and dread . What is it about this place that has engendered that emotion for so many centuries ?? Well , you won't get the answer in these pictures …. thats for sure . HA ! But I highly recommend a visit. Bordering on supernatural … these lands reveal themselves slowly with their color, their strange architecture, and the very real sense of mystery.
